Bill Fix

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bill Fix ("Bill Fix," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the Bill Fix mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

How we use your information

We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell it to data brokers or advertisers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How BillFix improves, and what we never do with your documents

We never use your documents to train or fine-tune AI models. Your bills, denial letters, explanations of benefits, and anything you type or dictate are used to produce your result and nothing else. They are not training data, and we do not license or sell them.

BillFix does get better over time, and here is exactly how. When a case finishes, we may ask you one question: what actually happened? If you answer, we record an anonymised pattern — the type of situation, the kind of problem it turned out to be, a coarse amount range, what we predicted, and what happened. That record contains no identifier that can be linked back to you, no provider or insurer name, no dates, and no exact amounts. It contains nothing you wrote.

A person reviews those patterns and, where they show we got something wrong, updates the written rules our system reasons from. Those rule changes are reviewed before they take effect. Nothing about your case changes our guidance automatically.

Answering the outcome question is optional. If you would rather we did not use even anonymised patterns from your cases, email us and we will exclude your account. Deleting your data removes your cases entirely, and anonymised patterns cannot be traced back to you in any event.

Service providers we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with providers that operate the Service on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your scans, letters, and profile data until you delete them or your account. You can permanently delete your data at any time from Settings → Delete my data in the app; this removes your scans, letters, and account. Payment records are retained only in anonymized form (with your personal link removed), as required for financial and tax recordkeeping. If you can't access the app, email us from your account address and we'll process the deletion for you.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access restricted to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children's privacy

Bill Fix is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your profile information at any time in Settings, and delete all of your data as described above. Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below. We do not sell personal information.

International users

The Service is operated from, and stores data in, the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., you consent to processing your information in the U.S. Bill Fix is a standalone consumer tool and is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
