Terms of Use
Last updated July 16, 2026
These Terms of Use, together with the End User License Agreement below, are an agreement between you and Bill Fix ("Bill Fix," "we," "us") governing your use of the Bill Fix app and this website (the "Service"). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What this app does
Bill Fix reads an itemized medical bill you upload, compares the charges against public CMS reference pricing, and can draft a dispute or itemization-request letter — or, from an insurance denial, an appeal letter. It is an informational tool, not legal, medical, financial, or insurance advice — review any letter before sending it, and consult a professional for anything more complex than a straightforward billing discrepancy.
Accuracy
Estimated savings are based on publicly published reference rates and automated reading of your bill photo — both can be imperfect. We flag anything we could not read clearly rather than guessing, but you are responsible for reviewing the final letter and the underlying figures before you send it to a provider or insurer.
Payment
Some letters are unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple or Google. Purchases are billed and refunded according to that app store's own policies, not directly by us. Checking a bill and seeing what we found is always free. Once a letter is unlocked, it stays unlocked — you can view it again without paying twice.
Your account
You can use the app anonymously, or add an email and password to keep your history available across devices. You are responsible for keeping those credentials safe and for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only for your own bills and denials, or bills you are authorized to act on. Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, reverse engineer it (except as permitted by law), or use it to violate any law or another person's rights.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for outcomes from disputes, denials, or billing decisions made using letters generated here — the final decision to send, edit, or act on any letter is yours. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We'll revise the date above; continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
End User License Agreement (Apple App Store)
The following terms apply to your license to use the Bill Fix application on Apple devices, and satisfy Apple's minimum EULA requirements. In the event of any conflict between these EULA terms and the Terms of Use above with respect to the Apple-device license, these EULA terms control.
1. Acknowledgement
This EULA is concluded between you and Bill Fix only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Bill Fix, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. This EULA does not provide usage rules for the app that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions; to the extent of any conflict, those terms govern.
2. Scope of license
Bill Fix grants you a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
3. Maintenance and support
Bill Fix is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app, as specified in these terms or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for the app.
4. Warranty
Bill Fix is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Bill Fix's sole responsibility.
5. Product claims
Bill Fix, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
6. Intellectual property rights
In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Bill Fix, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
7. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
8. Developer name and contact
Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding the app should be directed to: Bill Fix, joseph@ringo.mobi.
9. Third-party terms
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement, and the terms of Apple and any payment or service providers).
10. Third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that, upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary of it.
